Janmastami commemorates the appearance of Sri Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. You are all cordially invited to take part in this most auspicious event.

Devotees observe fasting until midnight, followed by the vegetarian feast. Note that there will be a children’s room available, and refreshments will be served the whole evening from the prasadam room in the basement.

Sri Srimad A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada's Appearance Day, Mon 25/08/08
This is the birthday celebration of Srila Prabhupada, ISKCON's founder-acarya. Srila Prabhupada was born on the day immediately after Janmastami, 1896. Festivities are therefore carried over from Janmastami to the next day in celebration of the arrival in this world of the great personality who introduced so many people to Krishna consciousness. In fact he is still introducing people to his beloved Lord Krishna through his books.
