We announce the following update on our activities. All are invited to participate!
Wednesday 13/2: Advaita Acarya’s Appearance Day (fast till noon). Advaita Acarya is an intimate associate of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu and is considered an incarnation of Sadasiva and MahaVisnu. It was in response to His calls that Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu descended to this world. (See Caitanya Caritamrta)

Sunday 17/2: Fasting for Bhaimi Ekadasi

Monday 18/2: Varahadeva’s Apperance Day (fast till noon on the Ekadasi, feast today). Lord Varaha is the boar incarnation of Sri Krsna, which He assumed in order to save the earth planet from drowning in the Garbhodaka Ocean. (See Srimad-Bhagavatam)

Tuesday 19/2: Lord Nityananda’s Appearance Day (fast till noon)
17-19 Bhajana and stories about Lord Nityananda alternately
19:00 Gaura-arati (music, singing and dancing)
20:00 Prasadam (vegetarian feast)
Lord Nityananda Prabhu appeared as Lord Caitanya’s principal associate for spreading the congregational chanting of the holy names of God. He especially spread the holy names of Krishna throughout Bengal. He is considered an incarnation of Lord Balarama, Krishna’s elder brother. (See Caitanya-caritamrta, Adi-lila, Ch. 5)

Saturday 23/2 - Monday 25/2: Prithu Prabhu visit. We are happy to announce that His Grace Prithu Prabhu will visit us from the 23rd till the 25th to have Krishna conscious morning and evening programs (details will follow). He will also give the 24/2 Sunday Feast lecture.
Prithu Prabhu is one of the early disciples of Srila Prabhupada in Germany, joining ISKCON in 1972. He has been preaching for many years in different parts of the world, including Germany, Ireland, USA and India. He studied Comparative Religion at Bonn University and Sociology at Marburg University. His special interest lies in studying the teachings of the historical Jesus in comparison to the Vaishnava tradition of India. (See http://www.omjesus.net)

Tuesday 26/2: Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura’s Appearance Day (fast till noon). Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura was the spiritual master of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the Founder-Acharya of ISKCON.
